How do i get the event where all of Harren's family is killed in Harrenhal also ruining the castle? I tried deploying the dragon but it didn't happen.
Do i just have to keep trying to get that 20% chance event?

It only happens during the "Aegon's Conquest" bookmark. While the entire family might not be killed, if you use your dragon on Harrenhal while invading the Iron Islands during the conquest, an event happens where the three minor castles in the county are made into ruins and the controller of the province can get the event to begin rebuilding the castle.

Dragons during siege or battle? There is also the possibility one of your sisters used their dragons. Though I'm not 100% sure if it Balerion has to be used to fire up the destruction of Harrenhal event.

Dragon used during the siege. 100% sure that siege leader was Aegon and that he was in the middle "flank". I managed to kill Harren once, but Harrenhal was fine.
There were also other oddities there. The Crownlands were not forming, so when Argilac dies and Baratheon marries Argella he gets all of the southern part of the Crownlands (Blackwater Bay, Massey's Hook and Kingswood). A similar thing happens if someone asks for the Riverlands afterwards conquest.

yeah, Aegon's conquest is quite buggy during this version. I even got Archon Aegon, but yeah. Hopefully Aegon's Conquest will be fixed in the next update

That's quite sad to hear. I just got back to playing CK2 only to play as the Targaryens from the beginning.
Well if you can live with random Merchant goverments (Harrenhall in my case), it's still quite playable. My current game is 58 years into the game, and whilst Westeros is still stable, I suspect it's because I don't RP enough.
