Hi,

I just finally got around to playing the Druids DLC and would like to verify, Neocore, if the difficulty levels work in the same fashion as in the original campaign?

The reason I ask this, is because I just took a unit of my light cavalry and, in full formation, plunged into a unit of enemy bowmen...When the dust settled, half of my horsemen were gone...

I am playing on Hard difficulty, but in no way should this explain the beating which my cavalry took.

Any explanations?

Exactly which arhers were they? Some, like Brigands have a some capability in melee too - being a hybrid type. You already know that, though, so they must be the plain ole archers.

I think some of the later updates mentioned that they reduced archer damage somewhat, but also made them more survivable at the same time. Not sure which.. must've been around the time they reduced the overall difficulty a bit, after the Druids expansion. I'm not sure how the latest versions play out because I'm still stuck on the older version I have from Gamersgate - it may be a newer update adjustment I've not seen.

The difficulty levels haven’t changed in our DLCs. The loss of your light cavalry depends on a lot of things, like the level of the units, the terrain, the momentum or the unit type (as Nefaro said, Brigands are quite effective in melee combat).
