Diplomacy a bit missing a few things?

I noticed theres a few options in Diplomacy missing or would make a nice addition to the list of options. How about asking for peace between two countries? Say Venice is attacking your Vassal. Within the year Venice will surly occupie Papal States. If you don't have a papul bull against Venice what can you do about protecting your intrests? I found Garanteeing the independence is a way, but only if you do it right after you Vassal a Country. How about changing that scenerio and say an ally is at war against your Vassal. What then? Let your Vassel get beaten up or Quite the alliance?

Would be nice addition.

Would I be wrong in thinking that you get a CB against anyone who attacks one of your vassals currently?
