Have just completely inluenced Switzerland, can I bring them into allies camp, since I am playing as US?

Only the head of the alliance, in your case UK, can ask a country to join the alliance.
you can make them an allied country of yours but you cant bring them in into the "alliance"
Or more specifically you can influence them towards democracy on the dogma triangle (although in most cases they will stay their original government).
Another "non-traditional" form of diplomacy is sending expeditionary forces to a future enemies war zones - British troops in Yugoslavia for example
