I can't get any MP games where you connect directly to the other computer (Eu2, HoI, Steel Panthers, etc) to work. I've opened the ports on my router, disabled XP's firewall and I'm not running any others. I could play Eu2 online just fine on my old Win98 computer. Is there anything I can do? Any sites I can look at, or any suggestions I can try would be appreciated.

'cept, I can't get online if I unplug the router. Makes that a bit difficult :)

Go back to using Win98!

Obivously if Win98 was working and WinXP isn't then you need to check whatever security WinXP must be laying onto you. (I see an awful lot of problems with WinXP that don't exist with Win98)

Do you have access to an outside PC that you can use to try and reach your PC? You might be able to check and see if you really have those ports open.

I wish I could go back to Win98, but sadly I can't. :( ;)

I do have other computers I could use to check if the ports are really open. How would I do that?
