Disappearing paratroops?

Hey all,

Playing HOI v1.06 with NO mods. Built three Fallschirmjager divisions and loaded them onto transports to hit Gibraltar. However, I can't get paradrop as a mission for the planes.

Further, I cannot unload my divisions from the transport planes. The icon for loaded infantry does appear, but is darkened, and clicking it does not unload the paratroops. When I check the location using the ledger the three divisions have no listed location.

Any solutions?

The transports have to have full org in order to unload or paradrop their cargo.

And to paradrop them on a foreign province, instead of just right clicking, hold control while you do so, and select 'paradrop' instead of 'tactical bombing'. (the transport planes need to have max org before you can do this) I also recommend you wait for the transport planes to reach max org before paradropping them, as paratroops lose strength and org while in the transports.

IIRC, Be aware that whilst the paras are on board the planes they will begin to lose ORG and then STR until they die. But check, as I havent used them in a while!

It NOT a bug though.

2coats, they lose both ORG and STR while they are loaded.
