Wanted to know more or less exactly how discipline works in the game - i.e. what values does it modify to improve unit performance?

EDIT: Okay I found some old posts about discipline in NA, but they only say "it increases the damage done by your units". So is it just a modifier for the unit's attack stats (ala the Units folder)?

I recall seeing something in the txt files while modding that had to do with morale recovery based on discipline. I'm thinking discipline may have to do with morale loss in battle as well, but I'm not sure. I'm almost sure it deals with morale recovery though, unless its left over in the txt files from before, similar to supply chain (which is also in there but I don't think the game uses).

Discipline is separate from Offensive capabilities. I believe it means overall performance increase. I noticed that when a unit gain 10% discipline, the unit strength versus other units goes up by 10% so heavy infantry versus elephants is 100%, with 10% discipline, it's 110%. Also the game will mention offensive capabilities to refer to attack, like archer's offensive capabilities +3% for a tech.

If I'm not mistaken, what you're talking about is organization, not discipline. Organization definitely increase morale recovery.
