you will, on epic. if you want to play them on steam you'd have to get them again.

why do people not get that they're competitors?

btw you log in to steam with a steam account.

Hi .. The Steam and Epic are competitors, but the game is from paradox and we also linked Epic and Steam to the Paradox account , and also by paying to steam or Epic for the DLC's should do not matter, because Paradox did received the money anyway . It is not logical to not be able to play the game with the DLCs, if the main game was payed on steam and the DLC's on Epic store , because the game also uses Paradox launcher and not Epic or steam (The main game is free on Epic and due this reason we bought it also on steam to have the full thing) I bought the Steam version due the lack of MODs on Epic , and now I will have to install the mods on Steam version and then extract the files from the steam directory and copy them to Epic version.

Except that, when you pay Steam, for example, part of the money goes to Paradox, but a portion goes to Steam... nothing goes to Epic. Therefore, Epic won't let you have access to the game or the DLCs on their store, because they didn't get their share. And vice-versa for Steam regarding game or DLC bought on Epic.

Hi ... Yes , but how I wrote ... I solved this issue by Steam base game to have access to the mods and I just extract them and add them to the Epic version with DLC's to be able to play the DLC content with mods .. This is maybe not standard behavior but it is working and everyone is happy .. EPIC STEAM and me -27 EUR :D

i'm sure epic don't care about what you do with your local files.

that doesn't change the fact that we're talking about one wholesaler but two different retailers (if it helps to look at it that way).

I understand you solved your issue... i should have removed that part of the quote.

I was explaining how you couldn't compare buying on two retailer sites on the basis that the game and DLC are developped by the same company (in this case Paradox). It's a false equivalency.

Unfortunately the Steam, Microsoft and Epic versions are different. You can not mix and match purchases from each store I'm afraid.

The Nakama multiplayer backend should allow for multiplayer games across the platforms at least.
