People have talked about a lot of things that is confirmed not to come in the release, but we know Paradox is going to have a "few" DLCs. Which ones do you want first, and which ones are you willing to pay for?
For me, it's a Byzantium DLC first, with a new government, new mechanics.
Second, I'd probably go for some sort of Crusades DLC. Rulers did launch their own crusades (the Norwegian crusade) during the era, so if that could be represented, that would be pretty cool. Maybe a rework of the system would be pretty nice.
A china DLC fits in somewhere, but I don't know, I don't really need it.
Finally, a DLC giving the nomads back their government.

Only the nomads.

China, since it won't be in the base game.
I'm not against DLC, but they better won't be starting with bare ass features and make us CK2 DLC deja vu.

A DLC focused on the religious hierarchy, scandals, messing with the papacy. Noble houses trying to control the church.
Willingness to buy: I don't want to. Would be better in the base game. But it won't. So I have to buy it.

A DLC expanding on intrigue and diplomacy. No matter what the base game offers, there's certainly room for improvement.

A republic thing. But better than "the republic" (to be fair I haven't bought it, so one can argue that I cannot judge it). It should also add a proper trade and production system and navies for the mediterranian.

I can't really tell now, before the game is released and before any DLC is even announced. I'll have to wait and see what's in the base game and what improvements and new features the various pieces of DLC offer before making a decision on whether to spend my money on them...

Ah hell, who am I kidding? I'll probably buy them all.

I wouldn't mind if they make DLC that includes features from CK2 that didn't make it into the base CK3 game but I'd prefer the core of the DLC is something completely new.

A DLC should not touch the core. A DLC should only unlock features introduced with a free patch. If they add the MR along the line, the DLC should ONLY enable the player to play as a Doge. All funtionality should be in free path :)

Honestly, in CK2, many of the DLC's are too far from this.

The main reason is that we don't want a DLC that builds on features that requires another DLC.

- Republics. I want to play and make those.

- Monastic Orders. But not directly playable, as they've already told us they don't plan on that. I'm thinking more like the societies - you could join a Monastic Order as a layman instead of a full-fledged battle-brother (or you could do the second, but then you'd have to get into the vows). You cannot be elected/voted for Grandmaster (simply disallow landed characters in the mechanic), so the player cannot control troops and such. A lot of events, though, would be interesting - including some that would let the character influence elections and decisions.

Let me be part of the Templars/Hospitallers/Teutonic/Calatrava/etc, damnit!

Wouldn't be better wait to see what there is in the game before asking for more? for what we know the things you ask could already be present (except for the nomads)

But because we already know they are missing, I'm going with (merchant) republics, maybe with a decent naval system.
