I am not convince neither by the FPR nor by the FUC sets.

Does anyone have better ones ?

I am interested in the French war of religions period, so no "Vendée" set please...

I was thinking about taking the Guise family CoA for the FUC, as they were leader of the Sainte-Ligue, but they are a bit complicated for a EU2 set :D :

Same goes for the CoA of Henri de Navarre, for FPR, before he becomes Henri IV:

Anyway, any help is welcome :)

Thanks.

Well, yes and no...

I know myself how to do a set.

My problem is to find a good idea of CoA in the first place... ;)

So far what we have thought about is using the CoA of Henri IV (the one he got when he was king, so it is a "wannabe" CoA :D) for FPR:

and invent one for the Guise (one he could have used, had he be a king. An ahistorical wannabe set  ) for FUC:

but it is not entirely satisfactory.

Maybe this one would be better, but it is still fantasy, not history-linked:

U could always use the slightly a-historical Foix/Bearn set that I got Kaigon to make for me...for one of them...

Check his site for it...

What about using the arms of Pope Julius II for FUC since he formed the Holy League?

EDIT: Just the golden tree on a blue background.

I haven't made enough research but I guess this is correct. :)

Often referred to as the cross of Anjou or cross of Anjou-Lorraine, it was one of the emblems used by the Dukes of Anjou who became Dukes of Lorraine from 1473 onwards [René II (1451-1508), son of Yolande of Anjou].
It represents a reliquary (containing a fragment of the true cross) venerated by the appanaged Dukes of Anjou from the days of Louis I (1339-1384) who had the emblem embroidered on his banner. The reliquary had a double cross-bar.
King René, grandson of Louis I and Duke of Lorraine by marriage, also used the Cross of Lorraine, which appeared around the neck of the eagles supporting his arms, hence the presence of the Cross of Lorraine in the armorial bearings (but not in the coat of arms) of the Dukes of Lorraine and its appearance in France at the time of the League (as the symbol of the de Guise family).

But the holy league of Julius II was not against the Reform. Julius II was pope during the Italian Wars...

The "Holy League" of the FUC is different from the "Holy league" of Julius II (which was done with Venizzia, Spain and later Henry VIII and the switz against France, and was defeated at the battle of Ravenne the 11th of april 1512).

From your website:

The Huguenot cross was designed and first manufactured by a certain Mystre of Nîmes in 1688.

That's more than one century after the Religion Wars in France :D

I like the FPR set I used to be honest: It is historical, they are the CoA of Henri IV when he becomes king.

I will play with your suggestion for the Lorraine cross and the FUC... :)

My mistake. :eek:o

Someone suggest me to quartered the Lorraine and France CoA to make a FUC set.

It is quite good actually, and "consistent" with what Henri IV will choose as CoA later:
