That mod was really great, though I am aware that CK2 plus is not compatible with most other mods and that apparently the Better Gender Law mod no longer functions well after the latest expansions. But that was a really awesome mod that opened up the possibility to truly forge a realm with equal status for women...or superior status if you went enatic.

Does CK2 plus happen to incorporate any of that, such as vassals adopting the gender laws of their lieges and females pressing claims in cognatic or enatic realms?

I don't know what the Better Gender Law mod contains, so I can't really tell you if we're comparable.

In terms of what CK2Plus does regarding female rulers, however:
  • Any non-Muslim ruler can attain all gender laws, though they can only change one "level" of law at a time (so if you start at Agnatic you must first move to Cognatic before you can move to True Cognatic and so forth). Both Enatic-Cognatic and Enatic succession are enabled.
  • Women can always have their claims enforced, even on Agnatic or Cognatic titles, following the same rules as that of men when it comes to strong or weak claims. Being installed as ruler does not, however, change the succession law of the title.
  • Women are allowed to hold many councillor positions, based on succession law and other factors. Feminist religions will allow women to hold almost all council positions save for marshal, which only allows female Norse/Germanic pagans who are Shield Maidens and female Iranian Zoroastrians.
  • Women can hold tournaments, and may have a Champion fight on their behalf. Women also attend tournaments, and there is an entire series of events for attendees in addition to those who do the fighting.
  • Women can hold grand hunts, even if they don't actually do hunting personally. There are specific events for them.
There are a number of other events that take these things into account, and I can't think of them all off the top of my head. I think those are the main ones, however.

That's all really cool! I am really enjoying this mod, and it's good to see that it's added stuff to make playing a female ruler less of a drag.

The Better Gender Law mod effectively focused on making cognatic and enatic realms function consistently, whereas in vanilla an absolute cognatic realm usually ends up with a gender-equal monarchy ruling over agnatic or agnatic-cognatic vassal duchies. In the BGLM, when a liege changed gender laws, many vassals would follow suit via decision or demand, as there was a hefty opinion malus between vassals and lieges with differing gender laws. I believe the mod also made it so that newly created titles took the gender laws of their creator's title, so that if you are the ruler of an Absolute Cognatic kingdom and grant a recently-conquered county away, the count would inherit a county with Absolute Cognatic gender laws, whereas in CK2 it would usually be agnatic-cognatic or agnatic no matter what. It also had female adventurers who would wage claim wars for cognatic or enatic realms, but really, I'm rambling at this point.

Perhaps ideas for a distant update to this mod? Regardless, I look forward to forming Enatic Cathar France in CK2 Plus as it is!

I'm pretty sure newly-created titles always take the laws of their creator, though I may be wrong. Been a while since I looked closely at it. If that didn't happen, however, then someone creating a new title for themselves would have to start their succession laws all over again, and I don't recall ever needing to do that.

A recently-conquered title is not, however, a newly-created title. Not sure I'd change it so that conquered titles did so (other than duchies and counties, which automatically assume your primary title's laws anyhow). Will have to consider that, but I doubt it.

We already have female adventurers, at any rate.

hmm, i couldnt get it in my game, but maybe there was another restriction i didnt notice.

The restriction is likely that you cannot move more than one "step" in gender law at a time. So you won't see enatic gender laws until you first get to true cognatic.
