Playing as Turkey I can't help but think that I'm getting some slight Vicky vibes.
Fighting the kurdish rebels, raising compliance high enough and lowering resistance low enough to be able to core the region. Changing political parties in various regions for different bonuses, interacting with other nations to help capital move into the country with foreign investment, political power having far more uses in raising stability, constructing various civil or military industries (that would have been nice if they required you to import foreign goods to produce).
Overall I think some of these mechanics might work very well if put into their right mechanics for Vicky 3, though it'll be interesting to see how that pans out if Vicky 3 will ever be released.
