Does installing EEP have any effect on the "regular" GC?

Well, does it? Or is the EEP GC a completely freestanding scenario? On the one hand, it is listed as a separate scenario in the scens list in the game, but on the other hand, it creates new directories everywhere and replaces a lot of files. How exactly does it all work?

Scenario and event files are independent. However, it updates several files which unfortunately cannot be duplicated (e.g. revolt.txt), or better off being overwritten (leaders). These original files are all stored in backup directory, so if you don't like the changes, you can always copy old files back. You can play regular GC as well, with no new events and scenario changes, albeit some leaders and monarchs will be different. Hopefully, that part will be addressed in 1.05, so there will be no need to modify leaders and monarchs in EEP.

Thanks for the info. I assume that any changes made to monarchs/leaders were intended to provide greater historical accuracy, correct?
