I've gotten every dark matter component from them except for armour. Now their debris is only giving research. Do they not give dark matter armour? Or is this a bad interaction with my bioshipset?

I haven't tried them yet.

However, I would suggest that the Hive FE debris should give Dark Meat armor instead.
