In the victoria 2 paradox wiki mod list article, it shows that the pop demand mod doesnt need House of darkness, because, I only have A house Divided. Please send me a link, and thanks before hand.

Reactions:
The Popular Demand Mod had 3 versions: PDM, A Pop Divided (for AHD), and Pops of Darkness (for HoD). The final version for HoD is still available for download, but I'm not positive about the earlier versions. As said, you need to register the game here on the Paradox site to gain access to the mod and support sub-forums, which don't even appear for non-registered visitors on the forums.

Thanks a lot! Now I have APD! I cannot thank you enough espically since APD is one of the only good mods for AHD.

I added it now to the APD thread in a new post.

You werre lucky i that remembered it and could easily find the thread again due to the limited traffic on the forum.
My brain works in mysterious ways and far too often not in time, but here it did its job. ;)

APD works well, I can even select a country and play! But it is only until for like 1.5 years when it crashes.

Oh, so not so well then after all or could there maybe be other reaosns than incompatibility7bugs ?

Follow up questions :

1) Did you apply the hotfix from the opening post of the APD thread ?
2) Did you delete any old PDM folder content in Documents/Paradox../Victoria 2 before playing ?

*later*

Hmm, i found i believe another version on my drive, which might actually be the last official APD version, though
would still require the Hotfix from the OP of the APD thread. Could you check if this is the same or another version ?
At least in size it's different to the former linked download.
Should be what it says, as i wouldn't download something and rename it based on assumptions.

See attached version below. Added it as well to my post in the APD thread.

One thing to consider about "crashing":

I've got Windows 10 and HoD, and ever since a couple of Windows updates ago, every few game years Victoria 2 will lock up, minimize for around a full minute or two, and then return to normal operation. In a couple of rare cases, it froze, but remained on the screen, and the only way to get it working again was to minimize the program using the Windows key, and then bring it back up to full screen from the task bar. I've had a couple of other games do this as well, so it appears to be a Win 10 issue, not a Paradox problem, although Paradox's games appear to be the most susceptible.

1. No, I did not, how do I do that. Is it similar to downloading a regular mod?
2. I do not have any old PDM folder.
3. It probably is, why wouldn't it be? Why would someone write it as the most latest version if it wasn't? I downloaded and unzipped just to be sure.

This happens when I play with mods, rarely happens to no modded victoria.

1) You simply download it and extract it on the mod, overwriting it in the process.
Did you not look at the OP of the thread ?

3) Either way, the formerly linked download might have been a work-in-progress or whatvever, as the user said that he didn't know what version it was, while the attached file seems to be the last official version, which still requires the hotfix. No, i wouldn't have renamed a download based on assumptions, but i don't know where or when i got nor did i test it. As i said, i had forgotten that i have it, which rarely happens concerning mods..

It was just a comment that i won't guarantee it to be what it says, though everything suggests that it is what it says.

1) No can you write in details, what you wrote was very unclear.

I'll quote the APD opening post
"7) Download the Hotfix, extract it to your Victoria 2\Mod folder-- overwrite all existing files. "

You unpack the rar file, and either directly extract or copy the files from it into the PDM (APD) mod folder
and overwrite the files of the same name. The hotfix is just three files in two folders.

Still crashes every 1.5 years, but now its around 3-5 years, so thats an improvement. I ususally play at 5 speed and non modded victoria takes around 20-30 years to crash from 1836-1920. From 1920, its around 2-7, but still.
