Does Vicky work with XP?

I have the cd for Vicky, and it is installed on my laptop running XP. Now I am trying to install the cd to my relatively newer desktop pc with the vista OS. The cd will spin in the drive, fast enough that I can almost smell smoke. But the installation refuses to initialize. Has anyone else shared this issue?

You could allways copy the whole game folder from the computer where its installed to the other one.

The game will still work.
