Exactly what it says....

It's been a while since playing CK and I don't remember if terrain gives any bonuses...
 
I was under the impression that it did. It seems to me that defending in mountains and hills is advantageous. I'm quite certain that knights attacking (and even defending?) in mountains are vastly inferior to the same on plains.
Then again, there are so many variables in CK combat that I can't say with certainty.
