So my AI son created the Kingdom of Aquitaine because he could - didnt serve any purpose. The when he died it went to my brother/his grandson and messed up the map something fierce. One county is all he owns.

So he gets the idea that he is going to go after Barcelona. The war was won before I could intervene. He didnt take any land but simply usurped the Duchy Title.

So the old Duke of Barcelona wasnt having any of it and created the Principality of Catalonia.

The the Duke of Upper Pyrenees was given the Duchy title fby the King of Aquitaine.

So now I there are two titles covering the same area. Different claimants, different lines of succession. Trying to figure out how to deal with since never had this happen.

Should I try and get rid of one? Which is the better claim? Benefits of titular vs vanilla? This just seems like its going to be 100s of years of warring for control.

Just to be more specific, I have the ability to usurp the Duchy of Barcelona.

Should I give it to the person holding the Principality or destroy it. Successions laws are different for them now and could cause issues and destroying would give someone else the ability to recreate, thus giving them tow titles. I'm just confused.
