Download for VV from gamersgate

So i bought the game off gamersgate and i downloaded and installed it, but when the launcher comes up it still says it's just rome, then when i try to update VV it says it's not installed. So i just go on to play and it turnes out i'm playing VV. What's going on?

No real idea, perhaps you installed VV into a different directory instead of the Rome directory? Try installing VV again, making sure it overwrites the Rome directory.

i did though and i'm still getting it

OK, uninstall both games completely, and manually delete the game directories. Now install Rome again but in a new directory, like c:\games\rome . Then install VV again over that new directory, then the 2.1 patch.
