File size mismatch errors almost
always mean that you've missed an instalshield folder when you did the uninstall.
You'll need to do that unintall procedure again, and this time you'll have to go to
C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information (it's a hidden folder so you may have to adjust your folder view options to see it) and look through all of the subfolders very carefully again. I'm betting that somewhere there's a file or folder that you missed last time.
The easiest way to do this search is to perform a series of Windows searches (use the search function) and search for all files in the the InstallShield Installation Information folder (i.e. in all subfolders) that contain the text string "europa", "EU2" or "strategy". Delete any folders that show as having any of those words.
After that you'll have to do the full basic install again (defrag your drive first, and use the default path this time if you haven't done so previously) and then add the patch (d/l it again too please). You can check the file you've downloaded to make sure it isn't missing any information. It should be
exactly 16,536,690 bytes.
(Note: that's the exact files size from the properties window...not the space it occupies on your hard disk which will be a little larger. If you d/l the file and then right click on it and select "properties" you'll see both numbers. The
actual file size is the one I gave you above).
If that doesn't work, please give me detailed system information and I'll see what else might be at fault. I'll need OS (including what version/build you're using), free hard drive space, etc. The more details the better. On the other hand, if you draw a blank on all of the above then I think you're right and that the bandwidth might be at fault (shouldn't be if it isn't giving you an error message, but you never know...).
Good luck.
