Is it possible? I just got a computer at my dads and it doesnt have internet, and I want to update my EU2 game there with the patchs. Its a laptop so I could just bring it here and download it that way, but I think the floppys would be easier. Ive tried a few times already and it wont work, does the floppy have enuf space for the NA patch? Or even the beta patch at that.

Yesh, I would need alot of floppys for the regular patch.

Thnx for the help.

The 1.07b beta 23 july patch is 1.74MB, to much for a floppy (1.44MB). But you could try to compress it with winzip or rar, that might work.
The beta patches are already .zip:p

LordLeto do u still need it??

if yes i could upload the patches on my webspace in small pieces.
(even the 17 mb Na patch if necessary...)

i had the very same problem not too long ago.
(on another game though)

now im lucky enough to have dsl.

What's your point? You can compress a compressed archive, it's not like that'll break it. You won't get any more compression from that, but you can use the process to break the archive in 1.44MB chunks. If you're using WinZip you have to compress directly to the floppy/removable device or it won't allow creating multiple disk archives, but it's possible.

It would of course be easier to use one of them new fangled USB drive thingies, but I see no reason why you can't carry them in floppies. Start out by making two copies, though, there's usually an error in at least one disk.

Ill figure something out. Thanks for the offer Therlun but Ill manage. I going to run by Best Buy during the holiday maybe Ill pick up a USB key there, those have plenty of space, 128MB in some cases.

Great solution for moving things around.

The fact is that Barbarossa II did not make this point, and his solution was quite ambiguous.

LordLeto, I am sending you via e-mail a small program that splits a file into several parts then rejoins it. I have used this one when I was without internet access during August to download the patches at the university, split them into 1.4 MB parts, put into diskettes, then rejoin at home and apply the patches!
:D

Enjoy it!

Thanks. But Ill need close to 13-14 Disks for the 1.07 patch, and its beta, dont think I have that many.
