Ok so in my most resent attempt to form New Valyria, as an Iron born, I got a dragon egg went to Old Volantos, Asshai (the county), dragonstone, and old town got their events but 10 out of 10 times I've tried to hatch the egg I die...and well game over, so I used console to hatch the egg then 10 out of 10 times I try to tame my dragon is escapes/kills me/burns me so I use console to tame it, well years later my son, non heir, gets an egg and dies hatching it....so my question is how the hell to I make it so that non-valyrian targarians can tame/hatch a dragon, well 50/50.

You should be of High Valyrian culture before even attempting the hatch. A dragonpit will be needed, if you're not High Valyrian. With High Valyrian and the dragonpit at King's Landing, I can get Egg's egg to hatch very easily just from visiting the dragonlore sites in Westeros.

Other dragonlore sites are King's Landing, Harrenhal, and Summerhall (if you start at a date after the Tragedy of Summerhall).

I forgot to mention I do have a dragon pit. Like I said I've already been to the lore sites, that would require me to change my culture, with console, and then change it with anyone that does have a dragon. King's Landing hasn't formed yet, I'm not getting any event from summerhaul or field of fire.

I believe the valyrian and r'hllor religion get a slight boost to how likely it is a dragon will successfully hatch. But you'd have to give up your reaving ways for that to happen.

No reaving makes locust a boring ironborn. Reaving and a dragon makes locust an excited ironborn. There's also the problem with most of my family dieing out from trying to tame dragons.

Your chances of hatching or taming a dragon increases if you are Favored by Rh'llor or Chosen by Rh'llor, as far as i know.
