We all love the world map in EU3 and EuIV will include bigger changes, however there is one thing i want, that would add an immense tactical advantage to both multilayer and single player games.

As you have guessed from the title i would like to draw on the world map. Games like Defcon you can draw on the world map and show it to your allies, the reason why this becomes so practical is that you can coordinate attacks much easier.
Imagine planing stages and preparing and implementing plans drawn on the world map.

So what do you think?

>.<

Yes like that but for EU3 :D

I need to play HOi3

Im going to go buy it now (if i have the cash)!

Do it !

That would be awesome on mp, and cool in singleplayer too.

It would be awesome in general whether SP, MP, AAR writing or just frolicking around.

I remember fighting co-op wars in MP, it was a pain having to explain provincial movement. I'm assuming they're adding that HOI3 feature into EUIV, or are planning to but don't want to say a definite "yes" in case it causes too much hassle/doesn't work out.

That makes me wonder, as all PDS game use basically the same engine (more or less), it shouldn't be that hard to port a feature from one game to another right ?

I also agree on this!
It was fun in Civ4, it let me map out how far I wanted to expand, strategies, etc. It'd be very useful in both SP and MP, I like to visualize what I'm doing.

at first i thought, ''nahhh theres no point in having this in EU4'', but then perhaps it could be interesting to have a visual representation of your 'tactical plans' or long term conquest goals.

but will it really fit into the EU style of game, whereas with hearts of iron military tactics are really central to the game itself, whereas EU is broader (and i hope EU4 is going to be very broad).

This would be awesome.
