Peaceful Horde

The mongols are very peaceful. For over 40 years the 2 armies just stand around and do nothing. They supposed to overrun Europe. Oh, yes. They are surrounded by pagans. Does it count for something?

If you really want them to move though, declare war on them. Then they'll go on a rampage across their neighbors' lands.

Are you sure you are playing 1.02?

If they begin to declare war on someone, just sit and wait until the whole map will be only light green and yellow. The colors of GOLD and ILKH.

I know. This is my 4-or 5th game (although i couldn't finish the past ones), so i could see the horde in action. But now...OK, I'm lucky, but scared to the bone

I'm having the same problem in my current game -- I'm pretty much dominating Eastern Europe, and was looking forward to the Horde as the first real challenge in decades... instead, they showed up with hundreds of thousands of men, which has, so far, won them... one province, a vassal of the Byzantines. Now I'm watching their army attrit to the point where I can take a crack at them.

Mongols just took over central europe and now they are in England taking the bastard counties down one at a time. I play Norway... and the stakes are 1 to 10 in their favour, should I be scared? Will they DOW me soon, or will they take out all AI's first?

I just played three or four games, and the other kingdoms are more peaceful.
No crusaders, France or England ? hmm... is it a bug too?
