maybe anyone else has already send this question but I didn't see it myself.
is the dutch rebelllion crush-able?
After 10 years making martyrs of the free dutch nation, and with troops and resources to make some more for other 10 years I finally decided to let them take some provinces just to have fun in any other place. In case you have a game in which Holland is set up to be a nation (I guess is random), have you the possibility to stop it?
or do you have just to accept it?

When I owned all of northern germany about 1650(also the soon to be holland)holland revolted, and I let them loose. But after some 20 years I hunted down all their colonies and trade posts(many) and military annexed holland. After that I havent had any trouble with them

thanks for your answers, guys.
BiB,
Yeah, now that's my opinion too. After ten years and thousands of men and money wasted I realized that it wasn't profitable for the provinces I was going to be loosing. Also the permanent menace of having revolts when at war with anyone it's really a pain in the ass. It's was just curiosity.
kjetikLr,
I planned that as well when I decided to let them have some provinces (of my choice, of course) but after all, I like those dutch felas anyway, I allied with them and now they are disturbing the portuguese in the far east and the english in north america so it has been for good.

If I was playing Spain, and trying to be consistent with the times (i.e. role playing), then I would make maximum effort to suppress the rebellion, regardless of cost.
