Recently, when playing as the mighty Charles, King of France, I married my eldest daughter off to the King of Castille. I like to check up on my daughters to make sure they're honoring the family by producing plenty of healthy sons. After about three years in Castille, I see my daughter has brought honor to her family by presenting her king with three healthy sons, and already again pregnant with a fourth child. Curious to know if my daughter decided to honor me by naming one of them Carlos, I note that her eldest son is tagged with the unforunated moniker "unnamed infant" So is #2. And #3.

I went in and renamed the boys (naturally, named the first one Carlos ;)) but approximately five months later, gives birth to a fourth son, Unnamed infant. I can't figure out what's up here, so I saved the game again and went off to play with another king. While searching for a bride for his eldest son, I noticed a number of Southern Slavic/Bulgarian women who were named Unnamed infant. It seems to be a weird bug I have. It only affects one gender, and only related cultures from that gender. Anyone have any idea what's up? I did mess with the naming files, but I simply replaced the new list with the names I had from CK. I have the 2.01 update installed, as well as the , if that might help anyone. I did keep my old name list throughout, though. I can't imagine why it would do anything, since it seems to randomly assign it to a culture and gender, and it can't be one particular name, since it happen to all four of my one king's grandsons.

This is not a bug with CK, but a bug that has to do with modding.

If you get 'unnamed infants' then there are no characternames for that culture and that gender.

Try to reinstall the 'characternames.csv', and check if every culture you use has names in it for females and males

Might you have characters with invalid cultures?
If the culture tag is not valid, it is interpreted as 'no culture'.

The in-game spanish culture uses the castillan tag and must be precisely written such; the slavic ones must not have an underscore (i.e. easternslavic, not eastern_slavic).
