Will planets see more lights on the dark sides as we develop them? Will planets subject to heavy fighting appear visibly scarred from space?

I apologise if these questions have already been answered, but I feel that these can make the game very visually appealing.

Ah, thanks for letting me know :)

I do hope that we'll see war-torn planets look accordingly as well. Could even be an effect which comes alongside the "ruined" (or something like that) modifier which would likely follow intense combat.

I sort of liked the fact that cities on the map expanded as the province did in EU4. There should also be siege/bombardment/ground battle appearances on planet's surface. Much like this maybe:
