Playing as Serbia in my first 1914 game, I prepare myself for a long fight ahead when suddenly Germany makes peace with United Kingdom, receiving about 20 colonial provinces. I was puzzled about this until I loaded a game up as Germany in 1914 to find they start out with +21% war score thanks mostly to the +20% for holding Luxembourg and that instead of annexing them, decided to grab some African lands and silence the Guns of August before they ever began...maybe Kaiser Wilhelm should win the Nobel Peace Prize for bringing a quick and bloodless end to the war?
