Another piece of advice please. When I take on new
Fleet commanders they no longer have pictures but just a message basically
saying Post Holder. I thought I would be able to swich when I got to home
port but I have no 'pictures' left. This is strange because earlier in the
game I had 20 Commanders with pictures and I currently I only have 12 and 5
are temporary Posts. Any advice please?

This isn't a message of advice,just support.I have the same problem and the concensus is it's a Game Issue. Annoying isn't it.

Does this still occur with Designer's Cut? Some work was done to commander faces, it may have fixed this problem.

Yes, still occurs in DC as well. I have 18 commanders, and I'd say 12 of them are empty holders.

Yes,it still occurs with Directors cut. But now I have FAR greater problems with both games as neither will run,install or uninstall.Even my activation code is rejected.

Wow! I am also experiencing save problems as well as the commander's picture issue within the game and am pretty amazed that even the mods (privateer) aren't running properly. Paradox has usually done an excellent job with providing stable running games and I have enjoyed all of their titles up to now. I also enjoy EIC - when it runs! I'm glad that I haven't puchased privateer yet. I will be watching this thread. Thanks for the input, guys.
