Easy way to get rid of unwanted heroes?

I would very much like the devs to add an option to delete an unwanted hero, because lets face it sometimes you end up with a hero who's renown ability is trash (like a priviteer on a waterless map) and you just need to get rid of them and sometimes there isn't a way to easily kill them off.

You get one chance to change the abillity per hero, but otherwise Blanch's suggestion is the best.

Would it be possible to implement some kind of disband or self termination button ala cntrl + d on non-ruler characters?

The solo exploration of a wonder works well, lone assault of an enemy city also will get them killed.

The only thing you can't change is the class. The trait will get an event offering to change to one of two others. Its not perfect but it gives an option to drop that Privateer trait for something better on a land map.

So this doesn't seem like a big problem.
