hi, i love playing loa, but in ~50% of my games around turn 100 my main system hits economic rating 0, and then rebellions happen.

i have no idea what to do except put taxes at 0 forever, or colonize 3 worlds per turn. both things impossible in the long run. :glare:

how do i stop that? can i salvage my new game? how do i prevent this in the future?

also, can the AI use loa cubes? i played against an ai loa once, they didnt do anything.

If this is a recurring problem for you, it probably is because you're using trade wrong. If you have a system producing trade goods which cannot be exported, either due to insufficient freighters or insufficient customers, it will take losses to economic rating. (Which will eventually make it also take losses to morale, and they help each other down a death spiral.)

The AI can certainly use Loa cubes, though I can't say how good it is at playing Loa. There was a point where it was totally useless at playing Loa, but has gotten better since then.

it's probably insufficient customers as i always build plenty freighters.

once that death spiral has started, can it be stopped? should i just stop trading in that system?

Oh, as far as the Loa, it looks like (from peeking in the Kerberos tech support forum) they've caught another catastrophic AI bug in the latest version that'll be gone with the next patch.

You should definitely lower your trade good production far enough that you're no longer rotting production. All the way off will do that, but shouldn't be necessary if the system can do any trade.

I don't have experience with morale crisis control, which is what you have here. Things which can help include:
-Cutting taxes until the situation improves.
-Deploying propaganda ships?
-Having a very large bank account.
-Establishing new colonies.

If the situation is really crashed, you may be able to clear the morale problem up by eliminating the civilian population, by setting the slider for that all the way down. That'll make morale even worse temporarily but once they're gone the planet will have only loyal imperial population, which should mean no rebellions while you're getting the crisis under control.

On the trade view, you should be able to tell what systems are in trade range and whether the trade goods are actually getting to them.

Economic ratign is a positive factor for Morale. Figure out what the other negative ones are and stop doing that!

Stoppign the decay: Reduce the number of trade Goods produced. Simple.
Also, make certain there are no AIFleets/Planets with less then a Peace in your sysems (NAP fleets still degrade Eco). Same way there seem to be a bug with disabeled but not captured Asteroid Monitors. There might also be such a Problem with Swarm Nests (even if they are otherwise passive).
