The HoI editor crashes when i try to use it, i already tried setting the color depth resolution.

I have the same problem with the Editor. CTD every time I try and load a saved game or scenario.
P3 700 , 384Mb RAM running Win98 with Direct X 8.1

Err, sorry... USING the editor is ok by me... Crashing is not supposed to be in the EDITING Forum
Weel I can't reproduce the CTD, so I can't log it as a bug. Other people have been using the editor ok, so it must be a support problem.

Been there, done that. I set in on16-bit when I saw others having issues. Pretty straightforward CTD. I open the editor, hit open file and when I add either a saved game or the scenario, the following occurs:

Things to try:
-Go to START -> RUN -> type "SFC" (without quotation marks) and let it check your system files.
-Uninstall HOI, make sure it empties out the directory, then run scandisk, and then reinstall HOI.

It worked! I uninstalled. reinstalled after downloading Nvidia's newest patch (thought I had the latest already but go figure), reinstalled the game, reinstalled the 1.01. Still CTD on any saved game files but the scenario files load fine. Thanks to all.
