Hmm... I'd like to stake out two for revolters/vassals in Romagna and the Marche. This helps Italy fall apart more easilly, and I think it's historically justified (up to about 1600-ish, that is). Both provinces were only loosely controlled by the Papal states. Romagna was independent during the early EU period under Cesare Borgia, becoming famous after Machiavelli lionized his exploits in The Prince. The Duchy of Spoleto (the Marche) was independent just before the EU period and might have broken off again in the early stages. Also, many, many major cities within Romagna and the Marche were independent at various times during the EU period (e.g. Bologna, San Marino, Ancona, Ravenna and I'm just getting started...).

So, what do you think guys? Can I have two tags? Can I? Can I? Pleeeeeaaaaase?

Tell me which 2 you want that aren't taken.

What's wrong with it? how's it not fully functional...i thought it was just as fine as the HEI tag.

Anyway can i get this sticked so i don't haveto bump it every time i edit the 1st post?

How about a Duchy of Holland (it wasn't Burgundian in 1419...)

An Ansbach revolter?

A Normandie revolter?

A Leon revolter?

A Moravia revolter?

A Tyrol revolter?

A Styria revolter?

A Carniola revolter?

A Dauphine revolter?

For Romanga you can use Bologna which was independent of Papal rule in 1419.

In Marche you could use Urbino which too was independent of Papal rule in 1419.

Well decide among whatever group whether those are fine and decide what tag you want to use that's free...i'm not asigning them myself for countries i'm not working on.

Well, I've been using U00 and U02. Obviously, that'll have to change. How about U18 and U19?

Fate: I'd like to stick with the regional names Marche and Romagna as there were so many cities in the area that were independent or semi-independent at various times. Anyway, I've changed the regions to include all major cities: Urbino, Bologno, you name it. I've also added random events which are city specific and which give more fortresses to regions with multiple fortified cities, so you the player can already get a feel for which cities are in his provinces.

Crook: I couldn't agree more about the need to justify extra nations. There are definitely more possibilities than tags.

Just curious - is anyone actually creating these countries? I'd be reluctant to start claiming tags unless someone is going to put the work in to create them.

If anyone actually has created these countries - are they available? I'd love to add them to my game...

The Duchy of Holland existed in 1419, and it has a current EU province in which it should be. What more justification is needed in order for it to become a country? It wasn't included because of a mistake on the part of Paradox. I've played EGCs with Holland as a country (Burgundy also doesn't start with Alcase) and they really don't suffer, which they should as they end up becoming insanely huge. Holland would cease to exist through events as Brabant and Luxembourg do.
