i have not seen anyone else covering the Mongols/Turks, so here goes. hopefully there is not a thread for this that i missed somewhere....
The first thing i would mention would be DP sliders;
The quality slider for all of the horse nomad cultures should not be '2' ! it should be between 6 and 10. i usualy place it at '6' for the Timurids, Golden Horde, Khazaks,Nogai,Chagatai. I set it at '7' for Uzbeks, Astrakhan, Crimea, Manchus. Basically the countries that showed some resiliancy.
also this change will lower the size of horse nomad armies.
The serfdom rating i set to 6 or 7 for nations like the golden horde which included very large populations of non-nomadic peoples. for nations like the Khazak, Nogai, Turan, Manchus, etc.
i set the serfdom to 4 or 5. You were only a khan as long as you didn't piss of the other members of your tribe! Herder societies inherently are not in any way serf oriented.
this is my start, i would love to have commentary, questions, especially from Tanone as he knows quite a bit about this area and he and i worked succesfully (i think!) on modifying Russia/Khanates in EU1.
