1) Check out the EEP Event ID Convention thread

2) Event Idea: I personally think it'd be great if choosing the worse option in an event would in the long run give you more positive things. This can be implemented the opposite way of course and it already is made like this for a few countries.

EGGZAMPLE:

EVENT Pops up... say... the freeing of peasents
Option A: No freeing (+200 Gold, +1 Centralisation etc.. bla bla bla)

Option B: Gentry Revolts in Uranus, -1 stab ,-50 Gold)


some time later...

EVENT "Freeing of peasants created more jobs, more taxpayers, more educated people and such nonsense that any dictator wouldn't want happening"

+200 Infra
+200 Trade
+3 Merchants
+100 Gold...

See? (James Cagney voice) SHEE?

3) Er, I, er, OFFICIALY... that means... We... no no no.... THE E.E.P. officially supports the idea of breaking away from the tyranical, er, Scenario forum... We demand AUTONOMY!!! LISTEN TO US or you will get a revolt in your capital, -2 stability and diarhea for the rest of your life!!!

Now, more seriously... Making a forum for the EEP and AoN... oh, and the EGC (heehhe) would be a good idea since these are truly GRAND SCALE operations that DEMAND their own forum... Yep...
 
Well we are trying with option 2 since long term benefits are a nice addition when you go the hard way. Problem with that is that some of the monarch files need to be revamped. Is that a go??

And Jools you are really weird. Funny as hell but weird.
 
Ducky says that he's talking to Patric about giving us our own subforum on-site(if I read his messages right). This could(key word could)mean we get our own moderator from within ourselves.:)
 
What, are Havard and I too rough on you guys as moderators? :)

Uglyduck and I are indeed working on getting subforums for you guys...
 
First of all, no, you are quite nice as moderators, at least IMO. However, there are some dissenting elements with considerable influence in our number. I don't want to leave the main line of scenario development here, as it would seriously hurt the chances of attracting new people to the projects. However, some apparently don't like you(re:Demetrios' location) or something to that effect. Not tom mention that those amongst us have a better understanding of the needs of the two projects, and it would be a bit much to expect you to handle a forum and two offshoots. We need the subforums to keep things together. It is nothing against you though, as I have had no trouble with you as mods.
Disclaimer: I mean no offense to anyone here, I am just saying things that I have interpreted to be true from what I have read here.

The line in my location is only meant as a joke (hence the ";-)" ) and shouldn't be taken seriously. In actuality, there have been only a very few event ideas that have been forwarded from here to the beta forums, and those few with full credit to the originator of the idea. Most of the stuff that has gone to the beta forum from here have been the various modifications to the monarch and leader files - again with credit given to all those wonderful individuals who suppplied us with the information.

(edit) I've changed my title and location. If they were disliked, a PM could have solved it long ago (a good idea for any perceived problem).

No. It means that the current moderators(Demetrios and Havard) would moderate those also. We do have a reserve standing by in the wings as Havard knows.
Try not to read things into posts that are not there. The current moderators are quite capable of moderating both the Forum and sub forums - after all if we didnt have the subforums then they would moderate all the posts anyway :)

... please elucidate on this statement - particularly on the "considerable influence" bit.

Also the "our number" bit. It is statements like this that tend to split the forums into arguing factions. If a seperate group is forming that does not like the way that things are done here then I want to know about it!

Demetrios, I actually found it funny. If Jools thought it was funny, he could have asked, and since he likes it, please undo the edit(I liked it, too). You can change your location back...I must be taking things too seriously these days. I have had a long month is all. BTW, the smilie where the D in Demetrios should be was an accident, but it can stay :D
Ducky, sorry about reading too much into your post.
I fear that the hour and too much egg nog might have gotten the better of me in that post. I was worried that we were thinking of bolting altogether, which would be bad.

Well, I credited them when I moved them up to the beta forum. What happens afterwards is beyond my control...

I also think that Demetrios does a good job, no need to be disturbed on him...

Demetrios, where did the whole Carlous/golf cart mess come from? I know how his Crazy Inflation AAR became a thread on golf tips, buth ow does the golf cart and Xandu tie into teh rest of teh plot? i'm confused.....

On a slightly idfferent note, I don't really think we need a new forum. We have a fine one right here (and its far better then the old everything in the scenario forum with headings). Just MHO.
