Any events, monarchs, etc being worked on for Ireland?

I'd be interested in trying them out.. Irish-Catholic is my own personal heritage, so I love to take a break from beating up on Ottoman Turks every now and then to drive the English back into the channel ;)

Eire is almost as big an underdog as Byzantium at the game's start...

I've been working on some EEP events for the British Isles that simulate the British plantation of Ireland. These essentially raise the revolt risk in British-held Irish provinces, thereby simulating that it was harder for the English to hold down the Irish than other provinces. Check out the EEP - West Europe thread for more details. I look forward to seeing you there!

I would say even more so an underdog. ;) I've played Eire and Byzantium both, and it seems to me that Eire is a bit harder. Sometimes I can win, sometimes I lose... it depends on luck as much as strategy.

I would like to see more events for Eire, but I am afraid that for most of the game they would be fantasy events. I am fine with fantasy events though. If Byzantium gets them, then certainly Eire should... :)

Being on an island doesn't help protect Eire?

Don't forget fortresses, and the money to build them too. ;)

But really, you can scrap up enough money if you save up for a few years to build these things. And you can't afford warships, but galleys are dirt cheap and quite effective. :)

Why don't you put together a few events?

Sure, you probably need them to be fantasy events, since most historical events will presume English ownership over Ireland. But if Byzantium and Wales can have fantasy events, I'm sure Ireland can too!
