In Stellaris on Console.

After establishing an Embassy in a foreign AI nation they disappear almost immediately after the successful request.

This issues is particularly annoying when trying to go for a diplomatic heavy run where the bonus to trust the embassies give are not available.

1. What platform are you using? -
PS5

2. What version of the game are you using?
V: Herbert v3.2.1.64907, R: 06.00

3. What DLC do you have installed?
expansion packs, 1,2,3,4,5 - all installed. No overlord released for Console yet.

4. When did this start happening?
Noticed start of February 2023

5. Can you replicate it, if so, please explain how.
Create a megacorp race with Fanatic Xenophile + Spirtualist, & Franchising + Free Traders

Traits: Budding, Wasteful, Decadent, Quick Learners, Nomadic

Origin: Here be Dragons

During gameplay use envoys to improve relations with another empire, and then request an Embassy. After successfully established a month later go into diplomacy and the option to request an Embassy will once again be there. Further, the benefits of having an Embassy are not there, confirming that that they have dissapeared.

The AI empires i had this issue with most recently was:
Hegemonic Imperialist nation - Fanatic Authoritarian + Militaristic
Erudite Explorers - Fanatic Xenophile + Materialist
Federation Builders - Fanatic Egalitarian + Xenophile

6. Does this happen on all saves or just specific ones?
Created a new game (with the same megacorp race i designed), had the exact same issue.

7. What steps have you taken to try and solve this yourself (reinstall, Google error code etc)?
Ive googled the issue, and identified this was an issue for PC 2 years ago. Nil identified solution. No error code identified.
Have not reinstalled (yet).

I've encountered this as well and tbh it's hit and miss when it comes down to pinpointing whether this is a bug or not.
Having closed boarders can cause this in the cases I've seen.
I played another game and this time opened all borders and tried it again.

All the embassies remained with the open bordered empires.

Thanks! That solves this issue.

However, I wish this detail was made a bit more apparent in the game somehow.
