I havew noticed that when i turn the fog off, it seems every port is full of empty fleets. The fleet name and commander are there but it states- '0 capital ships and 0 flottilas.
I believe that this had a lot to do with the game slowing so much in the later stages. In one game, I actually went through and merged all these fleets as the different nations which gets rid of the empty fleets. There was a noticable increase in game speed but within a month or so the empty fleets were back in numbers again.
Any suggestions?
