Well, I am going to start my third AAR. The options are England as the only major, Free Bretagne, Free/Spanish lowlands, and COT in Angelia.

Prologue,

“Are you sure that this will work?”

“Yes, if not, then we will have no more funding.” I began the project more than 10 years ago. Located deep in the Nevada desert, I am going to be the first man to travel backwards through time. I am going to travel back ten minutes to October 5, 2106 9:00.

“And who is our mystery guest?” Ah, the mystery guest that he have not disclosed the identity to except to me and the mystery guest himself.

Before I could answer he came in the door, The President of the United States of America. It was his wish to watch the first time travel on a living human. Since he was the first democratic president since Bill Clinton, I have not always liked him. I hate democrats; if those Democratic Senators knew what we were doing here they would have it shut down.

“So how does this work?” The president asked.

“Well, what it does is find it looks deep in the quantum foam, that the entire univer consist of. I then randomly looks at each one at the speed of about a billion a second. Once it finds on that Is linked to the past, to approximately ten minutes in the past, it will then use antigravity energy to keep the wormhole from collapsing, and then we will enlarge the wormhole so that I can travel through. Then I will travel through the wormhole.”

“Will it hurt?”

“Possibly, I think that I might have all the quantum inseparability links to every object that has been a part of me be destroyed, and I have no idea on how that might affect my conscientious, which many scientists think is a quantum function.”

Then the president started laughing. “Well, It’s 9:00 where are you.”

“I should now be in that room.” I point to a room that has a huge metal door guarding it. “But we are not going to open it, because it might cause a temporal paradox.”

“Whatever.” Then it began, the computer said that after searching through about a trillion wormholes, it has found one that matches the destination that I wanted. Wow, I thought, that was faster than, I thought. I then put on a suit heavily laden with lead, to protect against any kinds a radiation that might come. I could barely walk upright in it. Then I saw one of the brightest lights that I have ever saw. The computer in the suit took only a hundredth of a second to darken my visor, but I already was temporarily blinded. But luckily, I was not harmed, and my sight came back in a few seconds. It seems that the wormhole has opened up. I stepped inside.
I don’t know how to describe it; it was like being in heaven and in hell at the same time. I was feeling horrible, while at the same time, I was feeling great. Like sunshine in the dark, the heaven of the wormhole seemed to out power that hell. Then, I saw something, that I will never forget, a light, at what seemed the end of a tunnel. I walked to it; I didn’t know that I could walk. I crept closer. And at the end of the tunnel… The face of god.

Then I woke up, I didn’t know where I was. It looked like on of those old stables that they had at museums. “It is a miracle of god.” I heard a voice say.

“No it has to be a creation of the devil.”

I walked to the voices, “Hi, what the hell happened?"

“Oh, my god. Who are you?”

“I am Brad Stephens (my real name incase you guys are wondering.) Where am I”?

“You are in a monastery, a few peasants saw you fall from the sky.”

“Well, I am not from the devil.”

“Then where are you from?”

LOL, nice starting off point Brad:D Like the whole anti democrats theme:D S'nice. And it all sounds like a wonderful wonderful Star Trek Epsiode(ok, ok, it sounds like a ST:TNG epsiode, so sue me:D) I wonder, how will you explain your mysterious appearance? Otherwise, this will be a very short AAR, as they try you for witchcraft(Sorcery?) and burn you at the Stake. Not a good thing, not at all...

Good Luck with this AAR, I wonder how a person living in the Future would react to living in the past, where vaccines and such were not around, and how they would affect those around them(like, if you had a cold, and infected someoe, you could irrevocably mess up te time line, since diseases nowadays are so much ore deadly than the ones from previous times(all our immunization, just makes for stronger, more resilinet bugs).

Ah well, please, sir, continue

Chapter 1,

“Daddy, why do we go to war with Scotland?” It was an innocent question by an innocent child. I he only knew that sad horrible truth, I don’t think that we would want to know. All we want is land and money.

“Because the king wishes it.” That was the only thing that I could come up with. If my child only knew the truth. Come to think of it, I have no idea of what is happening. I have traveled back through time, came to England in 1488, fell in love and married. I that I can think about how I came here is that I must have somehow slipped into another wormhole. Already, I have changed history. Some how Scotland is going to be invaded. At least, I am a noble in this history, Blessed as a saint by the pope, I am the right hand man to the king of England. Another reason that we are invading Scotland is that they are weak, and we want to get out of our alliance with Spain. Then we should have a CB against them, and we should be able to declare war against them with little consequence.

“So what are we going to do then?”

“Simple, we are going to invade Scotland, and then annex them.”

“What does annex mean?”

“We are going to take control of Scotland.”

“That isn’t far.”

“You will find that out soon.”

Five days latter, the Scottish ambassador received the news of our declaration of war. I hope that I will live through it. Now that I think about it, I probably will, with all the nanobots coursing through my blood, rebuilding my cells, and fighting off infection. Well, the only thing that is for certain. And that is that Europe will feel the wrath of a England.

Actually this sounds more like a episode from the OUTER LIMITS.

Note: I got most of my information about quantum physics from books by Stephen Baxter.

Reminds me a lot of Timeline by Micheal Chriton (spelled his name Wrong I know, the guy who did Jurassic Park.)

Anyway good job! realy nice AAR. I like the the way you are doing the actual story telling.

(Oh, if it's Outer Limits... all outer limits have a twisted ending... I can only immagine what's going to happen in this one...)

So then, tell me, it will be your family chroniclong the rise (and fall?) of England throughout the ages? This is truly intriguing. Good Luck with it:D

so then you'll have TWO future families then. you are your own ancestor now. :D i like the idea. i'll definately be checking in one this one to see how it goes.

Interesting idea Brad. I'll be reading to see where this leads.:)

Joe

Estonianzulu stole my thought - it is alot like the Timeline novel (pretty good read by the way)..

I like the idea and hope you can keep the updates coming...

by the way, is "Bob the General" gonna make any appearances?

Heres what I'm thinking:

You stop the American revolution... so what happens to the future you came from?

Now that sounds likt Twilight zone

~~~
What if you go back in time, you squish a fish coming out of the water as it evolves into an air breather... no wait a minute... that was a Simpson's episode... never mind :D
"Must resist urge to jump into Simpson's talk, arrggh, grrr, arrgh!!
Phew, that was close.
hits his head on his mug:D
"D'Oh!"
Seriously, I wonder, how can you do this, as if you do anything to change history, you could irrvocably change it.
But since we are not following exactly how the time-space continium works, everything is ok:D
BTW, you will be the grey eminence? And your family shall occupy the post from the present until far far into the future? So you will be like noblity(or have some title?)
Well, i will await the next installment eagerly. Cheerio:D
To answer a few questions, this will be about England and howI am involved in it behind the scenes. And about the changing of history, I could scientifically explain it, but I think that there are to many details about quantum physics already in this AAR. Finally, Bob might make a camio apperiance.
Chapter 2,
"How is the war doing." The king said casually, that kinda struck my nerves.How a man can so casually talk about death.
"Well, I am not sure, The reports that we have got from the front suggest that we are winning the war. We have defeated the Scots second largest army, and the Scots largest on is seiging a minor border province. We hope that under the terms of annexation, we will get that army."
"And how is our seige holding up?"
"Well, it seems that we might be able to charge the walls, or wait a few more month's and the walls might crumble on their own."
"Why would we want to assult the fort there, we might lose men?"
"Well that way, we don't take as long so we can capture all of Scotland before the large scottish army heads in our direction."
"Well, keep up the good work."
(Ah, I will post it any way) Why am i still alive? Shouldn't I be dead? I have to have irrevically damaged the space time continium. If I have killed my grandfather before he concieved my father, then how could I be born to kill my grandfather? usually that is the paradox that we have to work with. But then, I think that I know what happened. If I somehow... That's it! i am in a alternate dimention. One in which England declared war against Scotland. One in which i am alive.
OOC If you think about it (Note, I haven't finished reading timeline.) The story for timeline makes no sense (stop reading if you don't want the plot spoiled) In the room that they have excatated with the writing by that professer guy that tells them where he is. One thing that he wrote hundreds of years ago. That shouldn't exist in our universe (alternate dimension is an incorrect way to call an alternate universe) because it only exists in that dimension, and not ours. Do you guys get what I am talking about?
Yeah, unless of course what happens in one dimension has some effect on what happens in the first one.
Not to my knoldedge. And I think that I have posted the last of the big techinical parts to this. It will from now on be more about the game and the characters.
Don't worry about the deep explanation, Brad. After all, how many people have had immortal characters by less trustworthy means (like that Brotherhood of whatever in Bohemia). It doesn't detract from the story, and I think you do a great job. Just one request: try to do as many comparisons as possible to the history that your character is used to (he'd be thinking of that anyway), it makes for interesting reading. Good job!
