I hope this doesn't sound too confusing !
The CK coat-of arms for Somerset is actually the true coat-of-arms for Bristol, not Somerset. The ship leaving port is a famous symbol for the city of Bristoland is even incorporated into the Gloucestershire County Cricket badge as they play most of their games in Bristol.........
The CK coat-of-arms for Devon is actually the true coat-of-arms for Somerset. It is known as the "golden dragon" and dates back to the Saxon kingdom of Wessex........this "golden dragon" is used as Somerset cricket club's badge........
So, that leaves us with a couple outstanding issues : What is the coat-of-arm's used by CK for Bristol ? To be honest, I have no idea, but as I've explained, it isn't Bristol's !
And finally, if CK's coat-of-arms for Devon, is actually Somerset's, then what is the correct coat-of-arms for Devon.......again, I know what it's flag is, but I'm not sure what it's historic coat-of-arms is............
perhaps someone else can plug the gaps........
