English Text and Scenerio File Problems

I installed the English text.csv and scenerios on my German version 1.08 of the game but seem to be having a couple of problems. The first is that my saved-games load up with a screwed up menu panel. Secondly, I am unable to play any of the English scenerios. They just freeze on the initialisation screen.

I also replaced the german text file with the english one and i have no problem playing the scenerios's.

Maybe you should reinstall the game and keep the original text file and replace the german one with that one.

Hmm. I'm not too bothered which language I play the game in, I just want to play the scenerios. Someone, indirectly suggested it maybe the fact that I lack the 1773.inc file (it doesn't come with the German version), which I have now been kindly sent. I'll give that a shot and if not try reinstalling. However, I think I may need to use the English text to play the English scenerio's as it contains specific info/history for them.

I do wonder if patching the game makes a difference. I have noticed that when I do so my text file (German one) changes. Should I be using a specific patch?
