I am just completing my first 1.06 game as Germany. This patch is fantastic and I'd like to thank all of you at Paradox.
The only problem I've had that really affects game play to a serious level is a "-10 envelopment" penalty that is being assigned to my panzers. I first noticed it when I had fully encircled the Prippet Marshes. Once the ring was closed, USSR units tried to break out and attacked me at Minsk. When I hovered the cursor over my units in the battle I noticed my units had this penalty assigned to them.
This may not seem devastating, but it happened again when I had encircled stalingrad. and the province west of it (Moro...something?). This penalty resulted in a net loss of 20% of effectivity (-10 for me, +10 for AI). I actually lost a battle that I should have won against infantry breaking out of Stalingrad.
Has anyone else seen this yet?
