It doesn't seem like Eranshahr has access to the "Persian Enlightenment" age bonus.
They are not eligible for the "This is Persia!" achievement and they probably should be.
I'm not yet sure if they're eligible for the "King of Kings" achievement. If they're not they should be as its the same missions.

As is stands forming Eranshahr is kinda screwing yourself over, and is kinda pointless.

I just played an Timurids-->Persia-->Eranshahr run and I completed all of the missions in the mission tree when I was Eranshahr and I didn't get the King of Kings achievement ://. Hope they fix it soon

Makes sense, it’s not Persia, it’s Eranshahr. The cheevo isn’t called “this is eranshahr” now is it? ;)

Yeah, we're fixing it for 1.36.1, thanks for reporting.

I'm sorry that you couldn't get that achievement. Was the run fun?

I'm personally not done my run. If the game updates and the achievement is fixed, would I be able to get the achievement on that save? Any estimation on when 1.36.1 will be out?

Minor patches are usually fine to update and don't break achievement runs, but the best way is to make a back-up save before you load your old one. Then if you are no longer eligible for a given achievement, you can just roll back and replace the save from the copy and finish the run on 1.36.0.

As for when it comes, they'll announce it a couple days before it, but I wouldn't expect it until early next week at the earliest.

Exactly all of this.

Had a blast, thanks for asking! The run went really well and really smooth - I managed to smother the Ottomans in their crib in maybe 1510 or so. The "complete the mission tree" achievements are always the best; wish Domination had the same type of achievements with France, Ottomans, etc.

The only part that made me tear my hair out was the mission 'Protect the Western Iranian' where I needed 10 Kurdish provinces (I had 9). Well my primary culture was Persian and I didn't have Cossacks DLC, so I had to culture convert to Uzbek and then to Kurdish just for that one province. This ended up burning maybe 20 years worth of admin points b/c I had to re-core the entire Middle East lmao

I also really appreciated how you guys changed the Qizilbash to the Aswaran for Eranshahr! I think some of the flavor text for the special units and estates wasn't updated so it still has "Qizilbash" in the estate privileges or flavor texts; for instance, one of the estate privileges may say "Grant land to Qizilbash" instead of "Grant land to Aswaran", for example. I also think if you form Eranshahr, the special units are also still called Qizilbash, not Aswaran too.

Glad to read that! And thanks for your feedback! We'll take a look at both issues; I think that we can add an additional condition to 'Protect the Western Iranian', so it requires either 10 Kurdish provinces, or certain amount of development in provinces of Kurdish culture; and we'll review and double-check all the 'Qizilibash' occurrences, and switch them for 'Aswaran' when required.

Can you also take a look at "The Zoro-Austrians" achievement? Forming Eranshahr makes you ineligible for this one too
Aye, we already have it in the pipeline for 1.36.1.

Sounds good, appreciate your work! Also one last thing, I think in-game, Aswaran regiments are currently being recruited from the Azeri provinces even though historically they were the Persian nobility of the Sasanians, so I think changing their recruitment to be from Persian provinces rather than Azeri would make more sense (obviously Qizilbash were Turkish and that should remain that way). I'm not too familiar with the coding requirements for this change but it would be appreciated if you could tell us what you think about that!

Good call, we'll take a look at that, although it might be a bit more complicated to rebalance.

On a similar note, how do I switch to Zoro? Just did the mission that says it reveals the branching missions, waited a couple of years in game, it still shows a ? on each branching mission...

I had to abandon it anyways because somehow 33k Kerman seperatists spawned? And all crossed over to my land? Some random country got annexed and it switched all the rebels to Kerman. Which was like twice my force limit.

When you complete the mission that allows for you to choose your religious path, four tabs will appear on the right of the missions tab. I, II, and III will show you the missions for Shia, Sunni, and Zoroastrian, respectively. After you've selected the one you want to commit to, you then click the green checkmark tab to lock it in. If you chose Zoroastrian, you'll shortly get the event that kickstarts the Zoroastrian event chain/mini-disaster.
