Edit: All character bios are now done, thanks everyone for the help

Getting the mod up to speed with the 2.2 patch is coming along, but we are still trying to get around some problems and wait for the final patch before making a release, hopefully it will be ready soon :)

In the mean time we need character bios for the new eras screen. The characters we need bios for are:

(Characters striked through are already done)

Conquest
Aegon Targaryen
Argilac Durrandon
Harren Hoare
Torrhenn Stark
Mariya Martell
Mern Gardener

Robert's Rebellion
Aerys
Rhaegar
Robert
Ned
Jon Arryn
Tywin

War of the Five Kings
Dany
Robb
Joffrey
Stannis
Renly
Balon

So if anyone wants to have a go at writing the bios for some of these characters please feel free to have a go and post it here in this thread! They are a maximum of about 850 characters and should be a summary of what happened to that character, in a similar style to the vanilla bios. Although spoilers of events after a Clash of Kings should be avoided.

Here is an example of one we have already:

Following the death of his father Jaehaerys, Aerys Targaryen, Second of His Name, sat the Iron Throne as King of the Seven Kingdoms. Aerys' reign began with great promise, as he brought in the young, ruthless Tywin Lannister as his Hand. However, after the Defiance of Duskendale, in which the king was held prisoner by his own vassal for six months, Aerys' reign quickly took a turn for the worse. After Aerys named Tywin's only son Jaime to his Kingsguard, which removed Jaime from Tywin's line of succession, Tywin resigned as Hand. Aerys' reign culminated in the execution of Rickard Stark, as well as Rickard's son and heir Brandon, who were seeking justice for the kidnapping of Rickard's daughter Lyanna by Prince Rhaegar, Aerys' son and heir. Westeros has plunged into civil war, as 'The Mad King' loosely hangs on to power from the Iron Throne.

Looking forward to the update! Hmm. How's this for ol' Rhaegar?

Rhaegar Targaryen is the eldest son of Aerys Targaryen, Second of His Name, and his sister-wife Rhaella Targaryen. Rhaegar Targaryen has proven to be an able man, handsome and intelligence, respected by the nobility and beloved by the smallfolk. Even as his father’s sanity dwindled after the Defiance of Duskendale, Rhaegar continued to serve the head of his house faithfully. In 281AC, at the Tourney of Harrenhal, scandal rocked the Iron Throne as Prince Rhaegar, victor of the tourney, bestowed the title of Queen of Love and Beauty on the beautiful Lyanna Stark of the North, betrothed to Lord Paramount Robert Baratheon of the Stormlands, instead of on his own wife, Elia Martell of Dorne. A year passed and Rhaegar and Lyanna eloped, though some say he kidnapped her. The actions of his father have inflamed the situation beyond the point of diplomacy, and now the Dragon Prince finds himself required to defend his throne, his father, and his true love.

If I may attempt one for Torrhen Stark

The Starks of Winterfell are one of the oldest Houses of Westeros, with a line going back to Brandon the Builder, who according to legend raised their seat of Winterfell, Storms End, the Wall, and many other great structures. Alone of the Kingdoms of the First Men, the Starks preserved their culture, their lands, and their sovereignty when the Andals came with the Seven Point Star upon their chests. The Starks have ruled the North for nearly eight thousand years as the Kings Winter...but now the last Dragon Lord of Old Valyria has landed upon the shores of Westeros, proclaiming that there will be but one King. The Wildlings beyond the Wall bear watching even more than ever before. The Black Tyrant Harren Hoare rules the Iron Islands and Riverlands with an iron fist, whilst the Arryns the of Vale have a history of looking upon the mouth of the White Knife with a hungry eye...will the long and glorious line of House Stark at long last lose its crown? Or perhaps even its very existence? Only the Wolf King can say what the future of the last Kingdom of the First Men will be.

I'll try to write something for Joffrey, if you don't mind.

Upon the death of King Robert, his alleged eldest son Joffrey ascends to the Iron Throne. A cruel boy with arbitrary, sometimes even sadistic tendencies, Joffrey already faces serious troubles: his impulsive execution of Lord Ned Stark, which riled up his son Robb and the North against him; having been accused of being born of incest between his mother and her twin brother, his legitimacy is called into question by Lord Stannis Baratheon, who did not hesitate to pursue his own claim for the throne on that basis; Lord Renly's ambitions towards the Iron Throne and the power of the Reach and Stormlands behind him; Balon Greyjoy's desire to carve out a kingdom worth the Iron Kings of old. The War of the Five Kings has begun, and the Westeros is yet again doomed to bleed.

I want to try Jon Arryn.

Head of the Ancient and noble house Arryn, through the line itself is failing, due to the lack of heirs of any kind. Nevertheless, with the execution of Rickard and Brandon Stark by Aerys Targaryen, Jon refused to hand over both this wards Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon to be executed. Thus with his refusal, Robert's rebellion had started.

French bios already in it, lazy english speakers :p

Jon Arryn

Jon Arryn has always been defined by the words of his house: "As High as Honor." Although he has no children of his own, he has raised his two wards, Eddard Stark and Robert Arryn like the sons he never had. Now, following the murders of Brandon and Rickard Stark, and the abduction of Lyanna, the Mad King has demanded Robert and Eddard's heads. Faced with a choice between loyalty to his sworn liege and his duty to his wards, Jon Arryn has called his banners, made a hasty marital alliance with House Tully, and is prepared to lead the massed chivalry of the Vale against the Iron Throne itself. But even if they win the war, can Jon win the peace?

I have a feeling this might be a little long...

Argilac Durrandon (Conquest bookmark)

The Storm Kings of House Durrandon claim descent from Durran Godsgrief, who married the daughter of the sea god and built the mighty fortress of Storm's End in the Age of Heroes. The Storm Kings conquered the Riverlands about 300 years ago, but during the reign of Argilac's grandsire Arrec they lost the Riverlands to the Ironborn. Argilac was a great warrior in his youth, and joined Tyrosh, Myr, Lys, and Aegon Targaryen of Dragonstone to defeat the recent Volantene attempt to form a new Valyrian Freehold.
Harren the Black has nearly completed his great castle of Harrenhal and is said to be seeking more conquests. Argilac sought an alliance and offered his daughter Argella in marriage to Aegon Targaryen, but Aegon refused and offered to marry his friend (and rumored bastard brother) Orys Baratheon to Argella instead. Viewing this as a grave insult, Argilac sent the hands of Aegon's envoy back to Dragonstone with the message "These are the only hands your bastard will recieve."
Now Aegon has landed with three dragons and a small army at the mouth of the Blackwater Rush, calling himself Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and King of Westeros. Will the fury of the Storm Kings quench the Targaryen fire, or will the three-headed dragon defeat the stag?
