Hello,

So that patch makers are aware, a group of us recently played a 6 player game in one location over a 8 port switch. All computers were using DD 1.2 updated to Armageddon 1.2. The following unusual errors were encountered:

Every once in a while (less than once a year) a computer would crash. I have found this to be common with Hearts of Iron multiplayer games. No biggy, just save and rehost. However, a few times when we did this the following errors occured:

- The German Navy 'disappeared.' No one sank it. We loaded the game and it was just gone. All of it. (Berlin was NOT happy).

- High level techs frequently got 'disinvented.' When we loaded the game (after a crash or just a break) it was common to find SOME techs researched before their historical year which been invented to have been 'disinvented.' For example, I was playing the USA and had 1941 tech carriers in 1940. The game crashed. It was saved and reloaded. I no longer had 1941 carrier tech (but I still had a bunch of 1941 carriers in production). Normally, but not always, when this happed the player had the blueprints for the disinvented tech.

- When we loaded it, any Strategic bomber units which had ever dropped a nuclear bomb were armed with nuclear bomb after the load. These free bombs could be removed from the bombers put back in the stockpile. The result - lots and lots of USA nukes. (I was a good sport and careful not to 'spend' these extra bombs, but if you play online with people you dont know you may not be so lucky).

Some other bugs that I have encontered in multiplayer games include:

- When amphibiously assaulting, if the attacker loses, his units ends up in the ocean province they were attacking from but NOT on the tranport. Same thing happens if you lose a battle and retreat to transports. The only way to correct this is to move the ground units from the sea zone to an adjacent beach and then move them back onto the transport. This is a VERY COMMON and VERY AGGRAVATING error. It has occured in every multiplayer game I have every played, every time these situations have occured. I have never known it to work correctly. Has anyone else experienced this? Can we please get it addressed in a patch URGENTLY. Happens in single player to.

- Sometimes things go funny with building nuclear reactors. If you research multiple levels of reactors, before building any, and then build several reactors at once, you can deploy them in separate provinces. As you reserach additional nuclear techs after this you sometimes get enough reactors at each level to build them all up. The game trys to even it out in the end, (by not giving you reactors at some levels) so that you only have 1 high level, but it doesn't always work. Also, sometimes it is possible to just build an extra reactor for no apparent reason and get a level 10 reactor. This normally happens if you reseach 2 or more levels in the middle of the nuclear tech tree. (eg, I have a level 3 reactor. I research to level 5 and the game lets me build 3 more reactors instead of 2. It then gives me one reactor for each level after this). Level 10 reactors makes bombs at 1 per 3 months or so and makes the lucky player (if Russia or USA) very powerful if the game has gone into WWIII era.

Has anyone else come across these bugs? I play HOI2 multiplayer games regularly (with 3 or less players), but the first 3 errors I have only encountered in the big game we had the other weekend.

Note - the purpose of this post is to make the patch programmers aware of the errors and hopefully get them fixed.
