eu-1 silently exits to desktop after the intro video

what language version is it? (UK, US, Russian, etc)
and did you install the latest patch?

sorry viper37 i forgot to reply since i found the solution myself

but i thought this could help others in case they have a similar prob

the version is RUSSIAN and no patch is available as the distributor says the latest one already incorporated in the local release

the SOLUTION to the problem is to remove the cd from the drive before running the programme

i guess that depends on hardware since i used to run the game at work and it was smooth despite the cd

probably something to do with copy protection on the cd.
