EU fucked? Please read further...

Today, I tried to start EU. Up until 2 days ago (when I last played), it was working fine. Although, now I think about it, every so often the picture would shake in the last session... I digress.

Today, I got a message along the lines of

Critical Error!

--- excel file not found
---
Do you still want to continue?

Abort Retry Ignore

If I hit ignore, the message comes up several times, again until I'm told "Europa has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL". After I close that, it tells me Europa has caused an error in EUROPA.EXE. If I hit retry, I get the KERNEL error, but no EUROPA.EXE probs. If I hit abort, I get a runtime error.

Questions

Do you think it's a corrupt exe file?
What the hell would it want with excel (probably the problem)?
Can it be fixed or should I save what I can (certain files like saves) and re-install?

Oh aye, one other thing. Just before it happened, I updated my graphics card drivers (GeForce 2 64mb). I've also been having trouble with either direct x, or GP3 but I don't think the problems are related.

Excel file not found??? I suggest you reinstall game. Did you delete some files by accident. Lots of files (.csv) are made in Excel

Yep, that's what I think I'm gonna do. I haven't touched any files so the only thing that could be doing it, if anything, is the new drivers, in my mind.

That message only shows europa.exe can't find the csv files. Please re-install the game.
