I got Windows XP.

Other games (i.e. old Europa Universalis 1492-1792) was intalled without problems.

I got Windows 98 on another PC. Europa Universalis 2 was installed on that machine without any problems.

I guess Windows XP is the problem.

Can anybody advice?

Now it works except the Music

Viper,

Thank you for the help.

I have now installed it via copy to hd.

However when I tried to installed the game (full installation) it stopped waiting for music file to be copied from a disk that it did not find. Than I had to do a Custom intallation without music files. That worked, but how do I get the music now.

I saw the procedure from this forum:

If you choose to make a custom installation and play music from the CD you will have to edit the music.ini file after installation. Just change as follows:

####My installation####

[Common]
music=c:\Program Files\Europa Universalis 2\MUSIC

####Change to####

[Common]
music=X:\MUSIC

Where X is the drive letter for your CD rom drive. After that you can delete all the installation files you copied manually from the CD.

Sorry but I cant find "My installation"!!!????

I searced for those words through all files beneath the Paradox folder with no result.

Looking forward to your next reply.

####my installation #### is simply the title of what Patric posted.

open the music.ini file in wordpad, edit the line (only line) to reflect the change in drive letter. On my computer here, is says E:\MUSIC.
