Wouldn’t it be great if we could get an EU2 expansion pack?

EU3 has great features that could be integrated to the EU2 game like the new diplomatic options, the NA trading system, the new DP sliders effects...

What else do you think EU2 could benefit from the EU3 features?

I would definitely buy an expansion pack like that one. First, it would give the great EU2 game some new and fresh features, attracting the old gamers to the game again; thus, increasing the EU2 MP community once more. Second, we would be able to keep enjoying the game that we like, with some minor changes that would be only for the good of the game.

Mmmm, don't think it'll happen. But if it did, I'd definitely buy it.

Well I’m no programmer, but I don’t think it should be very difficult to introduce features that you already have in one game, to another game that has almost the same engine.

In a matter of cost/benefit, considering that a lot of people would buy it (that is if people show enthusiasm towards the idea), and that it wouldn’t take much effort to do it; my best guess would be that there shouldn’t be a problem to create it.

Yea, i also thought of that early. But sadly, i think that is just a dream... That we will never see come true.

Even CK deserves an expansion pack... Damn, i wish EU2ers had that privilege too. :(

I must admit I'd rank EU2 above EU3. There are a lot of great idea's in EU3 but at the end of the day EU2 is my all time favorite. I would like to see an expansion to this great game as well. :)

Judging by the traffic I see on the forums, I'm thinking that many people would agree.

I have never seen a company do an expansion pack for a game when they have already released the sequel... but something like that could probably bring me back to EU2.

Bluebyte remade Settlers 2 on it's 10 year anniversary :D (graphics mostly...) I thought that was nice

I would buy an expansion for sure :D

Its easier to mod EU3 to resemble EU2 to get historical events & stuff, than to program into EU2 the new features of EU3. Don't really see the point in that.

EU3 works very well with a mod.
