EU4 breaks down my internet

I am having this problem for a while now. EU4 is the only game that breaks down my internet while running. It is not my processor or videocard but EU4 just completely shutting down my internet connection. When I alt tab out of the game to use a browser the page will not load. Maybe after 2 minutes it starts to show up. I would like to watch a stream while I am playing and that is now completely impossible. Does anyone have any ideas what the cause can be?

When I open the taskmanager it also shows the recieving and sending mb's go down out of nowhere, while playing the game.

I found the problem. Maybe keep this archived for others that get the same problem!

It was OneDrive wanting to synchronise things while I was playing. This gave an error and completely ruined my internet.
I will just shut it down while playing.

Right click on Documents in the left column of File Explorer, just under This PC there. Go to properties, location. What does it say in there?

If it says your Windows User Documents are held on OneDrive, that may be the issue - the game trying to write there while OD is syncing, something like that. Best to redo Windows settings so your User Documents folder is local, not on MS's cloud servers.

So I am still having the internet problems while playing the game. @AndrewT.
I made a video where I show you what happens to my internet connection while having a twitch stream open on my second monitor. I turned OneDrive off so it was not able to synchronise the files, and still the same problems occured. I also tried to remove my documents folder from onedrive but the program won't let me do this. And when I remove the folders from the OneDrive client my whole documents folder is just gone!

I now think there is something else going on. Can you please take a look? Notice that it goes up and down while it should be consistent for the twitch stream in the background. It already starts while in the loading screen and beginning screen. My internet speed is 400 MB up and down:

@AndrewT I think I found the solution and it was on my end. Apparently I had an option enabled that prioritized my internet to any game I play. Now I turned it off and the internet speed of the stream goes from 6MB to like 10MB a second, instead going to 0.
If I don't post anything here anymore the problem is solved!
